Community Services Division



The Community Services Division facilitates and coordinates efforts to reduce crime through the development, promotion and implementation of effective crime prevention-based strategies. The Community Services Division partners with citizens and businesses, as well as government and civic organizations and agencies to achieve its goals.

  • Block Parties: These gatherings are a great way to kick-off neighborhood watch, meet your neighbors and unite your community against crime.
  • Child Passenger Safety Seat Education Program: This program is designed to educate adults in the correct installation of child passenger safety seats, which may reduce incidents of injuries to infants and children when traveling in vehicles.
  • Close the Door on Crime Program: Statistics show about half of the reported burglaries in Frisco are attributed to open garage doors. Burglars spot open garage doors and remove visible items in a matter of seconds. Learn to “Close the Door on Crime”
  • Citizen’s on Patrol: COP’s is a non-profit organization made up of citizen volunteers who are trained by The Frisco Police Department to patrol the city and report suspicious or criminal activity."
  • Frisco Business Crime Prevention Initiative: This program is designed to bring police and local merchants together to reduce business-related crimes through communication and education.
  • Frisco Citizens’ Police Academy: CPA is an interesting and informative program that educates citizens who live or work in Frisco about our Police Department, its divisions and practices. We also have a special course for senior citizens.
  • Frisco Citizens’ Police Academy Alumni Association: FCPAAA is a non-profit organization comprised of CPA graduates dedicated to improving the quality of life in Frisco by supporting the Frisco Police through volunteerism and community activities.
  • Frisco Neighborhood Watch: FNW is a non-profit, community based crime prevention organization that educates citizens in ways of reducing their risk of being a victim of a crime, both at home and in the public.
  • H.E.A.T. Program: Texas H.E.A.T. (Help End Auto Theft) is a voluntary, statewide program designed to deter theft. .
  • Home Insurance Reduction Program, Security and CPTED Surveys: The Frisco Police Department offers free home/business security assessments to all homes and businesses located within the City of Frisco
  • Light the Night Initiative: The Frisco Police Department and Frisco Neighborhood Watch encourage homeowners to install and activate motion-detector floodlights outside their homes.
  • McGruff House Program/McGruff the Crime Dog: McGruff is known for the phrase, “Take A Bite Out Of Crime.” McGruff houses are temporary havens for children who find themselves in frightening or dangerous situations.
  • National Night Out: Each year,on the first Tuesday in August, neighborhoods throughout Frisco and across the nation are asked to lock their doors, turn on their lights and spend the evening outdoors with neighbors and police.
  • Santa Cops: Each year,during the holiday season, the Frisco Police Department acts as “Santa Cops” by providing presents to underprivileged children.
