Patrol Division

The Frisco Police Department Patrol Division is the largest and most visible aspect of the department with 76 dedicated officers. Four Lieutenants -- who report to the Operations Bureau Captain -- head the Patrol Division, which also includes twelve Sergeants; twelve Corporals; and 48 patrol officers. The division is responsible for the preliminary investigation of calls for service and crime, as well as answering general calls for service.

The patrol officer is generally the first contact citizens have with a police officer. Patrol officers are highly trained, receiving in-service instruction on a continuous basis which develops skills needed to provide the best service possible.

The Patrol Division provides continuous coverage; 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The patrol divisions work 12 hour shifts for the purpose of efficient and effective manpower allocations. The City of Frisco is divided into three geographical areas -- which are divided by Preston Road and Main Street -- and further subdivided into 13 districts.
